Brands beyond the medical industry have been using promo products like custom band-aids to gain advertising wherever cuts and scrapes are found. This week in 1920, the Band-Aid was invented by an employee of Johnson & Johnson (the company who still produces this line of bandages today) for his wife who often cut and burned herself while cooking. Though the first decorative Band-Aids weren’t produced until 1951, since then bandages have been used as promo products for everyone Barbie and Spongebob Squarepants to Louis Vuitton.
