Did you know that one of the most popular promo products – the Bic pen – comes from a company in France that was founded back in 1945? A MR. Marcel Bich and his partner Edouard Buffard started the business manufacturing fountain pens and mechanical pencils in a city called Clichy. Today Bic manufactures everything from notepads and stationary to lighters, shavers and even cell phones, but the name Bic is still synonymous with the pen. Bic is huge in the promo products, and last year it even acquired the Norwood company, the second largest supplier of non-apparel promotional products in the United States
